As the ancient tragedy of Pyramus and Thisbe, this is one of the first examples of the union of Eros and death, where fate is determined by a misunderstanding, an arbitrary discrepancy in timing, a vital meeting that does not take place.
In January 2004 Katya Cherkova disappeared without a trace. It wasn't until June of this year that two bodies were discovered nearby Roschino village of Leningrad's region. One of the bodies was that of Katya's and the other of her 19-year-old partner Dima Romkin. Both corpses were located not far away from the former Zar Nicholas' country residence. Investigation determined that both had been bleed to death by enlongated cuts on the arms. No criminal charges had been filed.
